We have the facility to investigate, diagnose and treat urinary stones. With modern technology, 95% of the stones can be treated via enduorological method of ESWL (Extra Corporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy).

PROSTATE DIDEASE

Most men over the age of 50 years may begin to experience Lower Urinary Tract symptoms. The common prostatic problems include Benign Prostatic Enlargement, Prostatitis and Prostate Canser. Full evaluation and treatment for these problems are available.




CANSER OF GENITOURINARY

Apart from occurring in Prostate, Canser can also occur in Kidney, Bladder, Penis and Testes.

FEMALE URINARY INCONTINENCE

This distressing condition and often embarrassing problem of urinary leakage can lead to disturbance of daily activities and social isolation.

A-V FISTULA OPERATION

Creation of an A-V fistula is a minor operation which is performed in Kidney failure patients. This is in preparation for heamodialysis. This service is provided in KMC.

A SMALL HUT ON THE GRAVEYARD...




A temporary hut where the Quran reader read in order to gift away the reward ( pahala ) to the person died. This is meant to help the person died increase his or her reward ( pahala ) while he or she alive. This rewards ( pahala ) will help the person died when he or she had a trail in front of The God. All died will be rise again after The End of Day ( Hari Kiamat ). This is what muslims believe..

They will read The Holy Quran in rotation. Maybe two person read at day and maybe another two person will read at night. It depends on the house owner or the beneficiaries. A feast will be provided by the house owner or beneficiaries. A little souvenir such as money, foods, sarongs ( kain pelikat ) will be give away to the readers when they finish.

PADI MUSEUM










Museum Padi Kedah Darul Aman is situated at Gunung Keriang,8 km from the city of Alor Star.It was officially opened by KDYMM Tuanku Sultan Haji Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah,the Sultan of Kedah on 12th October, 2004 or equivalent to 27 Syaaban 1425.

The building which is structured after 'gemai padi'which looks like a bundle of paddy stalks consists of the main building and six other secondary buildings surrounding it.

The museum with the Gunung Keriang backdrop seems to be in the middle of lush greeneries if you were to visit during paddy planting period and it turns golden if you happen to be here during ripening stage.

The main objective of building this museum is to establish the foremost museum that exhibits materials and items related to paddy that include the culture, recearch and develop ment as well as the extension of paddy technology.

The museum covers an area of 12,000 square metres and has three levels.







LEVEL 1

At this level the visitors can have an insight into the history of paddy planting in Kedah, to observe the various varieties of paddy and to widness the traditional equipments used paddy planting such 'anok', ;renggam', 'kepok' , 'tenggiling' and others.

For those who like to experience new things, they can learn how to separate paddy grains from the stalk through 'membanting' or de-husking the paddy grain by pounding or simply called 'menumbuk' at this level.

For the fish lovers you can observe the equipments that nearly extinct used in catching fish such as 'sepila', 'tuar', 'bubu' and 'tangkul'.Those equipments are used to catch the fishes in the paddy field such as 'sepat', 'puyu', 'keli' and other fresh water fishes.

For those who like to have pitures can do so by standing beside 'orang-orang' i.e. Mannequin that is made to scare away the pests of paddy such as birds, or you can simply wear the clothes of paddy planter for remembrance.








LEVEL 2

This level has six galleries.These galleries exhibit drawings that depict the agricultural activities starting from the olden days to now.

There is a drawing here which uses the technique of crystals spray that will captive you and your creativity.

For those who wish to deepen their knowledge on methods of paddy planting you can always view a documentary which is being screened everyday.

From this level 2 the visitors can view the daily activities of the paddy planters such as pulling out the seedling, replacement, fertilisting and harvesting.





LEVEL 3

By climbing 59 steps, visitors can reach the peak of Gunung Keriang. From here visitors watch the panoramic view of the traditional village and lush paddy fields.

Visitors will be definitely enthralled by the panoramic view of the process of paddy planting from the land preparation up to harvesting in the from of mural and landscap. The mural is 8 metres high and the length is 103 metres and it is the biggest and the most beautiful mural in Malaysia.

The observatory at this level can accommodate 40 people at a time and is situated on a revolving platform.

SOUVENIR SHOP

Various types of 't'- shirts, stationeries, handicrafts that are related to paddy are available as souvenir.

Or you can just choose the varieties of snacks the traditional Kedah biscuits and tidbits such as 'karas', 'sagon', 'emping', 'kuih loyang' etc.That definitely are produced by the people of Kedah themselves.

The visit to this museum will not be complete if you do not buy the salted fresh water fish to bring home for the family to savour.
